*The knots in the Mei Tai must be attached very solidly to ensure the security of your child.*
You can also place your child facing outwards in the Mei Tai. When he is very little you can fold his legs up in an Indian position with his hips tilted forward. When he is a little older or wants more liberty of movement, sit him with his legs sticking out each side. Check to see that the seat is open wide enough so that his knees are high up. His legs must not be hanging and bodyweight must not be sitting completely on the crotch.

According to the size of your baby, you must first adjust the cords so that the pocket and the seat are the right size. |

The seating adjustment is generally not necessary for a bigger baby over the age of 6 months. You may simply pull out the cord if it bothers you. |
