L’écharpe Porte-bonheur has developed a program designed to teach and supervise families wishing to gain from the benefits of babywearing and wish to learn techniques, deepen their knowledge or share their experiences with accomplished wearers or novices. L’écharpe Porte-bonheur is in its infancy but each day, new supporters appear. It’s the dynamism of each person who has deep beliefs about babywearing that makes the promotion of this practice possible. The addition of new spokespersons in each region allows wrap babywearing to be accessible to all. We hope to be able to give you all the support you may need. New dates will be added regularly. Please consult them often. To reserve your place, please communicate with the person in charge of the session with the aid of the listed coordinates. |

Introduction to the benefits of babywearing for the wearer and the child. Introduction to knotting. Teaching of knotting techniques adapted to your experience according to the age of your child/children.
- Before birth :
Become an expert before the baby comes so that you can confidently take advantage in the first hours. Teaching of cross wrap knots with different positions tummy to tummy, cradle position for breastfeeding and facing outwards with legs folded in Indian style. Also simple cross, kangaroo front and on the hip. - 0 to 6 months:
Teaching of techniques for a comfortable and safe wear with a newborn until baby has good neck and back muscle control. Assure the parent about babywearing, put into practice the techniques listed above and initiation to techniques for on your back. - Over 6 months:
For continuous babywearing in daily life. Teaching of different techniques for use with a child who possesses good postural control. Find knottings that best respond to your needs. For short or long term use, for a child who moves and wants to see and a parent that wants maximum liberty of movement. Practice of babywearing knots on your back.
Many retailers offer reductions for workshops when you buy a wrap. You also have the opportunity during a session of trying a wrap before you buy. In this case, if you decide to buy a wrap during a formation, you can benefit from a $5.00 rebate off the price of the formation. You can send us your comments about the workshops.
