Suitable for a child from 0-6 months and more

As soon as baby shows an interest in seeing what’s in front of him, he can be turned to face outwards occasionally.  This position is less comfortable for the wearer and for baby. Past a certain age, baby will no longer want to have his legs crossed or stuck in the wrap. Releasing the legs must be done with extreme caution. Carefully read the recommendations for good positioning. Also babies’ weight is predominantly towards the front, which makes the total weight heavier for the wearer. Up until the age of 5 or 6 months, baby will appreciate this position especially during a family meal or with friends so he can participate.

Always start with the pocket position (see page12-13) and make the necessary adjustments. Holding baby under his bottom places him in the right sitting position with his legs well in front and his hips pivoted forwards. In this way, we are assured that baby is well supported by his bottom and legs, that he will not be hanging by the crotch or swinging towards the front.

After baby is inserted into the wrap, make the adjustments so that he is well supported at the right height.

Pull on the upper and lower edges as was previously shown.

The same variations apply to this knotting.  You can therefore choose to pass the wrap completely under babies bottom after having tightened it with your hands or having it fanned open over the width of baby.

Knotting can be done in the front or behind your back. Once again, it is possible to pull the material back over your shoulder to spread out the weight and avoid pain in the lower neck area.
