Knots for a stretch wrap

A stretch wrap is easy to use and very comfortable with a small baby from newborn to about 3-6 months always according to his weight. The width of the wrap is smaller than the woven wrap. It is just large enough for a small baby. Where the knees are concerned, there is no extra material. The knit is made to be moulding, very soft and easy to manipulate. As long as your baby is well supported under his knees, this type of extendable wrap is perfect.

Once baby starts gaining weight and growing, the material is no longer strong enough to support the legs in a frog position. The child then becomes supported by the crotch after a few minutes, is lower and is not close enough to the wearer, which makes it less comfortable for the wearer also.

This knotting can also be used with a woven wrap but was particularly adapted for a stretch wrap. Once the wrap is installed, you can put baby in or out as many times as needed. The wrap should be installed without the baby in it.

When using an extendable wrap, it must be knotted close to the body and tight enough. If it too loose, the baby will be too far and low from your body and won’t have the extra support needed.
