A stylish and unique multipurpose garment designed for the modern woman. It can be worn before, during and after pregnancy. The Chimparoo Versatile is a stylish and unique multipurpose garment designed for the modern woman.

It can be worn before, during and after pregnancy, accommodating a baby from birth to 10 kg and during breastfeeding. This versatile top transforms into an ergonomic stretchy wrap that evenly distributes baby's weight between the wearer's shoulders and back.

Made in Montreal, the organic cotton and elastane blend combines durability, support, elasticity and memory so you can wear your baby in comfort and style.

Available in 4 colours (red, gray, natural and black) in short sleeves or long sleeves.

Also featured is a cummerbund in colourful motifs, which is worn around the belly to provide extra support when wearing the Versatile. Can be worn during pregnancy, during breastfeeding and as additional support for the baby carrier. The cummerbund and the Versatile are sold separately or bundled together at a reduced price.

How to tie the Chimparoo Versatile

The Versatile can be used in the same manner as a stretchy wrap

When worn in :	Front
Positions :	Cradle (breastfeeding), facing in, facing out
Advantages :	Comfortable, lightweight, gentle and supple support No need to untie the fabric to take baby out or pop baby back in if fabric is well adjusted. Keep it on you like another layer of clothing. Elegant, practical and simple.
Inconveniences :	Only one infant can be carried, up to a maximum weight of 10kg. Restriction of only front carries. Long sleeve version may be quite warm during summer.

How to use the support cummerbund
Once the baby is placed in the Chimparoo Versatile, bring the cummerbund over the Versatile and spread it out over the baby. This way, baby will have more support and you will be more comfortable.

The middle cummerbund is specially designed to be worn during pregnancy and to increase the Versatile baby carrier's support. We strongly recommend that you do not use the cummerbund alone as a baby carrier. The cummerbund is appropriate for skin-to-skin wearing of a newborn with the help of your health care professional. The baby may slide towards the bottom if the baby is not properly seated or if the fabric is too loose.

How to tie the Chimparoo Versatile

Cross the two tails of fabric in front of you under the belt to form an X.
Take one of the two tails and pass it through the fake "hood".
Make a secure knot in the back.

Facing In

Spread apart the X and support the baby while sliding one leg into one of the crosses.
Slide the other leg into the other cross so that the baby is seated in the X.
Spread out the crosses over baby's back so the Chimparoo Versatile reaches to the insides of both knees. Spread out the cross closest to you to cover baby's bum and gently position baby's legs in a froggy position.
Take the other cross and bring it up to baby's ears--or lower for an older baby with adequate head support who is interested in looking around.
Use the cummerbund for additional support by raising it to cover baby's back.

Cradle position

Slide baby in through one of the crosses, or simply spread apart the X and slide baby in.
Spread out each cross of the Chimparoo Versatile so that the width of both crosses adequately supports baby.
For additional support, spread the cummerbund over the baby.
If the baby is too low for breastfeeding, it is probably due to the Chimparoo Versatile being too loose. It is difficult but not impossible to tighten the fabric with the baby still in the carrier. We recommend that you take the baby out of the carrier first when making any adjustments.

Facing Out

Hold baby facing away from you while supporting baby's bum.
Taking the cross closest to you, seat baby Indian-style into the fabric. Spread out this cross completely so the entire width is supporting the baby. Avoid positioning the baby so that he is dangling by the crotch.
Spread out the other cross of the Chimparoo Versatile in a similar manner so that there are two layers of fabric to adequately support baby.
Ensure that the pelvis is tilted forward so that baby won't fall out head first. Also raise the knees along with the folded legs inside the carrier.
For additional support, spread the cummerbund over the baby.
